Orders can be placed by calling our Customer Service Department on 0208 345 6999. On acceptance of our quotation, we will require a faxed confirmation and payment before delivery. Applications for a 30-day credit account will be considered but the company reserves the right to refuse any application on the outcome of Credit Reference checks. All applications will then be updated and credit limits will be reviewed every year.
By requesting our services you are agreeing to our terms and conditions which will override any terms and conditions you have put forward.
All prices are for a standard 1-3 day period and are subject to VAT. The 1st Day will be the day in which we deliver the goods, the 2nd day hire equipment will be in use and on the 3rd day we collect the goods. Extra days are charged at 20% extra per day. Long-term periods will be quoted on request.
The hirer is responsible for the equipment from the time of delivery until returned to our premises. Lost or damaged equipment will be charged at full replacement cost. Any items found within a month of being notified of losses will be either credited in part or full.
You are responsible for ensuring your delivery is correct. If you have any discrepancies you MUST inform us immediately. Any claims you make regarding short deliveries after the goods have been collected by us will not be entertained.
Any goods returned damaged will either be charged at full replacement cost, or where possible be repaired and the cost of the repair charged to the hirer.
Our deliveries and collections will be made to and from a single ground floor point unless pre arranged which will be subject to additional charge.
If we arrive at a delivery that is not a single ground floor point and we have not been informed prior, we reserve the right to leave the goods on the ground floor or charge an additional premium to deliver up or downstairs.
We reserve the right to refuse to deliver or collect should the circumstances of the site cause a health and safely risk to our delivery team.
Our Standard Delivery and Collection cost includes delivery Monday-Friday at a time convenient for ourselves. Should your delivery or collection fall outside of these terms, an additional charge may be incurred.
Any orders cancelled with less than 48 hours notice before delivery will be subject to a 25% cancellation charge.
Any order cancelled on the day of delivery will be subject to a 100% cancellation charge.
Any amendments must be made with a minimum of 48 hours notice before the delivery date. We reserve the right to decline any requests to amend orders after that date.
We will not be liable for any costs or loss of business caused by any issues or faults with our goods.
In the event of the customer agreeing for us sub hiring goods from another hire company, Charters accepts no responsibility for any faults with the sub hire companies goods
